Faith Formation - RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is designed for people who would like to know more about the Roman Catholic faith. It is also for those who desire to be received in full communion with the Catholic Church.

This includes Catechumens, Candidates and Inquirers. Catechumens are people who have never been baptized by any Christian Church. Candidates are individuals who have been baptized in any Christian church (including Roman Catholics) but have not been confirmed in the Catholic Church. Inquirers are those who want to know more about the Roman Catholic Church.

How Do I Become A Catholic?

  1. Have you been away from the church and have now returned, but want to know more about the Faith?
  2. Have you been worshiping with us, but never officially took the step to become Catholic?
  3. Have you been a Catholic all your life, but never celebrated all of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist)?
  4. Have you joined us from a different faith background and would now like to find out more about the Catholic Church?
  5. If you answered YES to any of these questions, our RCIA program will help you find the answers you are looking for.
  6. Or, if you have a friend or family member who you know would answer YES to any of the above questions, please extend an invitation to them to investigate our RCIA program.
  7. You can begin by contacting calling the office and scheduling an appointment with our Director of Religious Education Anita Bardo at 317-632-9349.
